Withdraw Help to Buy ISA interest or leave it be? sleazefrenzy

Hi, quick question.

My Santander Help to Buy ISA has just completed its first year and so I've had 4% interest added on top of my total savings, around £80 in total.

Is there any benefit to leaving that interest in the account or can I take it out and use it elsewhere? I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that any interest doesn't qualify for the 25% government bonus, and I'd get more interest out of it sticking it in a savers account.

Can't find any useful info on their site so thanks for any help.

Yup, just leave it in there... My HTB ISA also completed a year and got the interest earlier in the week... If you withdraw the interest, you loose the tax savings from ISA's
