For compliance reasons, my son (HK based, non UK resident for tax purposes) is restricted to the following for holding investments. He will probably be looking at ETFs, though again there may be compliance restrictions.

Does anyone have any experience of any of them?

Citibank HK (citibank.com/hk)

Interactive Brokers (interactivebrokers.com/hk)

Saxo Bank (hk.saxomarkets.com/en)

Charles Schwab (schwab.co.uk/public/hk)

UOB Kay Hian (utrade.com/hk)

Do note that the product offerings in other countries will usually be very different to those operating in this country. He is probably best asking on a site that has people living in HK on it. Rather than those on a UK site who may only have information on the UK product/services.

Thanks dunstonh, I've already suggested he ask colleagues at work.

I just wondered whether any of the regular posters who work in the field of finance (including your good self) had any personal experience of these brokers. It would seem not.
